Youth Savings Accounts are for members age 17 and under. The minimum deposit to open an account is $10.00. The $10.00 is yours but must remain on deposit as long as the account is open. This account is designed to teach kids financial responsibility at a young age. The credit union will offer rewards for saving money throughout the program. Bring your child's social security number with you when opening the account. The credit union requires an adult to be joint on the account. Dividends are compounded quarterly and are available for withdrawal on the 1st of January, April, July and October. The program consists of three levels. The three levels are Magical Magicians, Wiz Kids and The Wizards. Below is a description of each level.
This group is for children from 0-10 years old. A savings account will be available for these children. Each child will receive a Club Oz Account card along with a Magical Magician stamp card. Each time a deposit is made they receive a sticker and a stamp. Once the stamp card is filled the child will be rewarded with a prize.
This group is for kids from age 11-14 years old. A savings account will be available for these kids. Each kid will receive a Club Oz Account card along with a Wiz Kids stamp card. Once the stamp card has been filled they will be rewarded with a prize.
This group will consist of teens 15-17 years old. The following services will be available to this group: savings, checking, debit card, and loans (with cosigner). This account is designed to help teens transition their financial knowledge and needs into adulthood.
